The Parramatta Eels are grappling with a major setback as star halfback Mitchell Moses has been ruled out for an extended period due to a serious injury. In a press conference today, Eels’ coach Brad Arthur confirmed that Moses sustained a high-grade hamstring tear during the team’s recent training session.

Moses, a pivotal figure in Parramatta’s attack, suffered the injury while performing routine drills. After further evaluation, medical experts have advised that he will require a lengthy rehabilitation process, making him unavailable for at least the next 10 to 12 weeks.

“This is obviously a huge loss for us,” Arthur said. “Mitchell is a key player, and his absence will be felt deeply across the squad. However, we have confidence in our depth and believe we can navigate this challenge together.”

The Eels will need to rely on backup players and potentially make tactical adjustments as they face crucial matches in the coming weeks. The team’s leadership and coaching staff are expected to pivot strategies to accommodate the loss of their dynamic playmaker.

Moses’s injury comes at a critical time for Parramatta, who are currently in the midst of a competitive season. The Eels are set to face the Penrith Panthers this weekend, and fans are eager to see how the team will adapt without their star halfback.

Despite the setback, Moses remains optimistic and is focused on his recovery. “It’s disappointing to be sidelined, but I’m committed to getting back on the field as soon as possible and supporting the team in any way I can during this period,” Moses stated in a brief message.

The Parramatta Eels are hoping for a swift recovery for their star player and will be looking to their remaining squad members to step up and fill the void left by Moses’s departure.
