Legendary musician Bruce Springsteen, often referred to as “The Boss,” has announced the postponement of all September tour dates for his ongoing U.S. tour. The decision comes as Springsteen is currently battling peptic ulcer disease, a condition that has caused significant discomfort and requires immediate medical treatment.
The 74-year-old rock icon, known for his high-energy performances and long-running concerts, was set to continue his tour with the E Street Band across several U.S. cities. However, on the advice of his doctors, Springsteen has decided to take time off to recover fully.
Springsteen expressed his regret in a heartfelt message to his fans, stating, “Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at all the shows, and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon.”
This postponement marks a rare interruption in Springsteen’s typically relentless touring schedule. Fans who have purchased tickets for the affected dates have been assured that they will be honored at the rescheduled shows, with more details to be announced soon.
Springsteen, whose career spans over five decades, remains one of the most enduring figures in rock music. Despite this setback, his fans remain hopeful for a swift recovery and a return to the stage in the near future.
