CHICAGO BEARS MOURN THE PASSING OF LEGENDARY PLAYER, WILLIE BROWN**

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – The Chicago Bears organization is in mourning today as it has been announced that legendary player, Willie Brown, has passed away at the age of 81.

Willie Brown, a Hall of Fame cornerback, played for the Chicago Bears from 1967 to 1979 and was a key member of the team’s defensive unit during his playing career. He was known for his exceptional coverage skills, ball-hawking ability, and toughness on the field.

Born in 1939 in Sylvester, Georgia, Brown began his NFL career with the Denver Broncos before joining the Bears in 1967. He quickly became a fan favorite and earned the nickname “The Executioner” for his ability to shut down opposing receivers.

During his time with the Bears, Brown helped the team win three division titles and appeared in two NFC Championship Games. He was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and was named First-Team All-Pro twice.
