The Chicago Bears are facing a significant setback as one of their top wide receivers, DeAndre Carter, suffered a severe rib injury during practice. Carter, who has played a crucial role as both a wide receiver and the team’s primary return specialist, missed the first practice ahead of their Week 5 game against the Panthers. His injury could leave the Bears scrambling for alternatives, particularly in the return game.
Additionally, rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze is still recovering from an MCL sprain suffered earlier this season, leaving the Bears’ receiving corps even more stretched.
With these key injuries, the team will likely need to rely more on players like D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, and possibly explore backup options for both offense and special teams.
