Unexpected Shocking News: Mercedes chief Toto Wolff sends message to Ferrari after Lewis Hamilton Cra…

Toto Wolff has come out in defence of Lewis Hamilton following his crash at the United States Grand Prix, insisting he was not to blame for the mishap.

Wolff’s statement absolving Hamilton of responsibility for the spin-off early in the race will surely be a comfort to Ferrari. Despite the Italian constructor clinching the top two finishes in Austin, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz securing first and second place, they were undoubtedly keeping a close eye on Hamilton’s misfortune.

The 39-year-old is set to join Ferrari next season on a lucrative three-year contract, and there might have been concerns over Hamilton’s calamitous performance. However, Wolff’s post-race comments that: “Lewis Hamilton doesn’t lose a car on lap five like this,” should put any doubts about Hamilton’s capabilities to rest.
