It was an eventful day for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they shook up their roster with a series of significant moves. The team elevated cornerback C.J. Henderson from the practice squad to the active roster, placed defensive tackle Montravius Adams Sr. on the Reserve/Injured List, and re-signed veteran defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko to the practice squad.
Henderson, a former first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, brings notable experience to the secondary. With 49 games under his belt and 32 starts, he’s racked up 172 tackles, 16 passes defensed, three interceptions, and more. However, Henderson’s career has been marked by injuries, including a stint on the Jaguars’ Reserve/Injured List in 2020. After a trade to the Carolina Panthers in 2021, Henderson showed flashes of his early potential but continued to struggle with consistency.
Fehoko, who joined the Steelers in 2023, also has something to prove. After a brief stint on the active roster last season, the defensive tackle was released and re-signed to the practice squad. With 19 career games under his belt, including four starts, Fehoko is no stranger to the ups and downs of an NFL career.
As the Steelers deal with injuries and shuffle their lineup, fans are left wondering: Could these bold moves ignite a new spark, or will injuries derail Pittsburgh’s season?
