Atlanta, GA – The Atlanta Braves announced today that they have mutually agreed to terminate the contracts of outfielders Adam Duvall and Jorge Soler. The decision comes as part of the team’s ongoing efforts to reshape its roster heading into the offseason.

Duvall, who returned to the Braves this season after a successful stint with the team from 2018 to 2020, struggled with injuries and inconsistent performance throughout the year. His departure opens up opportunities for younger players to step up in the outfield.

Jorge Soler, who had a standout season with the Braves in 2021, including a pivotal role in the team’s World Series victory, faced challenges in replicating that success in subsequent seasons. The Braves management expressed gratitude for Soler’s contributions, particularly during the championship run.

“We appreciate the hard work and dedication that Adam and Jorge brought to our organization,” said Braves General Manager Alex Anthopoulos. “This decision was made with the future of the team in mind, and we wish both players the best in their future endeavors.”

The Braves will now look to bolster their roster in preparation for the upcoming season, focusing on filling key positions and enhancing their competitive edge in the National League.
