Breaking News: Carolina Panthers Trade Wide Receiver Diotae Johnson to…..

In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers have announced the trade of wide receiver Diotae Johnson and a 2025 sixth-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens. In return, the Panthers will receive a 2025 fifth-round pick.*

Johnson, who joined the Panthers as a promising talent, showcased his skills during his tenure in Carolina but ultimately was deemed expendable as the team looks to bolster its draft capital. The 24-year-old wideout has shown flashes of potential, but his inconsistency led the Panthers to seek a more reliable receiving corps.

“We appreciate what Diotae brought to our team,” said Panthers General Manager Scott Fitterer. “This move allows us to acquire an additional fifth-round pick in a deep draft class, which we believe will help us address key areas of need moving forward.”

The Ravens, on the other hand, are hoping to capitalize on Johnson’s potential to add depth to their receiving unit. With wide receiver injuries being a concern in previous seasons, Baltimore’s front office is optimistic that Johnson can carve out a role in their offense.

“Diotae is an exciting young player, and we see a lot of potential in him,” said Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh. “We’re looking forward to integrating him into our system and seeing what he can contribute as we prepare for the upcoming season.”

As the trade deadline approaches, both teams are looking to solidify their respective rosters, with the Panthers aiming to enhance their future draft selections while the Ravens work to strengthen their offensive dynamics.

The Panthers’ front office appears committed to building a competitive team for the next few years, and this trade reflects their focus on long-term strategies. Meanwhile, Johnson will look to make the most of this new opportunity in Baltimore as he seeks to prove himself in the league.

The transaction is officially pending the completion of a physical exam for Johnson before finalizing the deal.
