SAD NEWS: Braves’ Two-Time All-Star Expected to Leave Atlanta for Dodgers

Braves’ Two-Time All-Star Expected to Leave Atlanta for Dodgers

Max Fried, the two-time All-Star pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, is predicted to depart the team in free agency and sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to multiple sources. Fried, who has been a key player for the Braves since 2016, is coming off a strong season with a 3.25 ERA in 29 starts. However, with the Braves facing substantial luxury tax concerns and no agreement on a long-term extension, the team is unlikely to meet the contract demands expected from Fried in the free-agent market.

The Dodgers, known for their deep pockets and consistent success, have emerged as the leading contender to sign Fried. His projected contract is expected to be a six-year, $136 million deal, which aligns with the type of high-value acquisition the Dodgers are likely to pursue to bolster their pitching staff. Other teams, such as the Chicago Cubs, have also been mentioned as potential suitors, but Los Angeles remains the front-runner  .

Fried’s exit would mark a significant shift for the Braves as they look to adjust their roster for the upcoming season while managing payroll constraints.
