Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion during a game against the Buffalo Bills. The injury occurred when he scrambled on a fourth-and-four play, colliding with Bills safety Damar Hamlin. Upon contact, Tagovailoa’s head and neck absorbed significant impact, leading to a visible “fencing response,” a symptom associated with brain trauma. This marks the third documented concussion of his NFL career.
Tagovailoa was immediately removed from the game, evaluated in the medical tent, and later taken to the locker room. While he showed positive signs of mobility and spirits afterward, he has been placed on injured reserve and is currently without a clear timeline for return. The Dolphins and medical staff are prioritizing his health, given his history of head injuries.
