The Miami Dolphins’ ultimate success with great wide out Jaylen Waddle is undoubtedly one of the NFL’s biggest stories of the past few years. The fourth-year wide receiver has formally signed a three-year contract deal worth $84.75 million.
In addition, Waddle will receive $76 million in guaranteed income from his new contract, which naturally makes him quite happy. Miami shared a video of a very happy Waddle offering a special greeting to the fan base shortly after the organization announced the deal. He is enjoying this time, as you already know:
Jaylen Waddle is overjoyed to have signed his Miami Dolphins contract extension.
“Jaylen Waddle here, Phins Nation, just write it down. Man, we locked in. Hopefully, we can continue after a few more years and make some memories. Well, phins up. “Phins for the win.”
Waddle’s response is admirable because it has been a long time coming for him. Chris Grier was under even more pressure to do something with his star wide receiver after DeVonta Smith and Nico Collins signed their contracts. Fortunately, Miami doesn’t have to worry about this anymore.
However, Tua Tagovailoa, Jevon Holland, and other Dolphins players are hoping to have their contracts renegotiated, so the Waddle update won’t be the last piece of contract activity this offseason. Even Tyreek Hill, who was absolutely brilliant in 2023 with the ball in his hands, is requesting a small compensation increase.
All of that can wait until later. People can now relax and understand that the goal of Holland and others is to gain back
Waddle has ended with at least 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons, so fans can relax knowing that he will try to continue to be a standout for this offense. He will aim to make it four years in a row this fall and winter, and he will do it as a wealthy man.
