Show Me The Money; 2024 prize Money leaderboard revealed

The bags are secured. Over 1000 players cashed in during the 2024 WTT season, with 24 athletes breaking the 100,000 USD barrier and 70 players taking home more than 50,000 USD. The VIP treatment was also rolled out for all players at WTT Grand Smash and WTT Champions events, with hospitality covered for athletes from touchdown to takeoff – keeping the season’s premier events at the highest level.

Wang Chuqin‘s trophy cabinet wasn’t the only thing that got heavier in 2024. The World No.1 topped the men’s prize money leaderboard with 261,287 USD after a season that brought four WTT Series titles, including two WTT Grand Smash crowns and last week’s WTT Finals victory in Fukuoka.

In the women’s standings, Wang Manyumade a last minute move and leap-frogged her way to the top at the final WTT Series event. Her Fukuoka triumph pushed her past Sun Yingsha to claim the top spot on the women’s earnings list with 244,325 USD, edging out Sun at second on the leaderboard with 234,962 USD.

The Harimoto siblings kept it in the family with both landing in the Top 5 of their respective lists. Tomokazu secured the No.3 spot on the men’s list with 164,837 USD while sister Miwa wasn’t far behind at 143,300 USD for fifth on the women’s leaderboard.

Looking ahead to 2025, the prize pools are getting even bigger. The WTT Feeder Series leads the charge with a 34% increase to a 30,000 USD minimum per event. WTT Star Contender events jump 10% to 275,000 USD, while WTT Contender events rise to 85,000 USD, up 6.2%.The season-ending spectacle gets a boost too, with WTT Finals prize money increasing 14.3% to 800,000 USD.

WTT Grand Smash (1,500,000 USD) and WTT Champions (500,000 USD) events keep their established minimums, but with the upcoming increase to four WTT Grand Smashes and six WTT Champions events on the 2025 calendar, there’s even more money on the table when the new season kicks off.
