The Cleveland Browns have been nothing short of a complete mess during the 2024 season. They have a 3-11 record, sit dead last in the AFC North, and have been eliminated from playoff contention.
However, during their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, the organization and fans still had a major reason to celebrate because of star defensive end Myles Garrett.
He hit 100 career sacks, which is already an extremely impressive feat, but he’s the first player to ever hit the milestone before turning 29. Garret also becomes just the 45th player in NFL history to hit 100 sacks in a career since 1982.
With his 100th career sack, Myles Garrett becomes first player ever to reach the milestone before turning 29
His ability to hit this milestone at a younger age than Hall of Famers like Reggie White, Bruce Smith and Lawrence Taylor has left many fans in awe. “Myles Garrett just went over 100 sacks for his career. Between him and TJ Watt they are the no doubt Hall of Famers of this generation’s pass rushers,” said one comment. “115 games, 100 sacks lmaooooo Myles Garrett is not real,” a second added. “Myles Garrett is a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Hate that he’s in Cleveland but I love watching him play,” said another.
Of course, it also means the Browns have been getting their money’s worth with Garrett, who signed a five-year $125 million extension in 2020
