Brilliant Target : Man United ‘submit offer for PSG star ahead of January transfer window

Manchester United have made an offer for PSGdefender Nuno Mendes, according to reports.
The Red Devils have adopted a 3-4-3 system under Ruben Amorim, with two wing-backs also part of the new system.

The likes of Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui and Tyrell Malacia have all been used in the left wing-back position but it has so far proved to be problematic position, with Luke Shaw plagued by injuries.

As reported by French outlet RMC, United have submitted a bid for Nunes and are pushing the player to make the move to Old Trafford.

Mendes’ current deal at PSG expires in 18 months and talks over a new deal were set to conclude after months of negotiations.

However, the outlet claims that Amid United’s significant interest, talks have broken down.
It’s said that Mendes is indifferent to a move to United and has set sights on leaving PSG in January.

But the Parisians are opposed to his departure next month and have not given up in their attempts to renew the Portugal international’s contract.

Wing-back Mendes played under Amorim at Sporting Lisbon, where he won a league title, prior to his £31.5million transfer to the French champions in 2022.

His attacking style quickly established himself as fans favourite in Paris being named young player of the year the following season and has gone on to win three consecutive league titles.

United have also discussed Bayern Munich‘s Canada international Alphonso Davies, a target for Real Madrid, as they consider potential options and Bournemouth‘s Milos Kerkez.

Thursday’s loss against strugglers Wolves condemned United to their eighth Premier League defeat of the season.

With just 22 points from their opening 18 games, the 20-time top flight champions sit closer to the relegation zone than they do the top four.

United return to action on Monday night when they play host to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.
