BREAKING: Green Bay Packers Trade Jaire Alexander to Baltimore Ravens

In a stunning offseason move, the Green Bay Packers have traded star cornerback Jaire Alexander to the Baltimore Ravens. The deal, confirmed by both teams on Tuesday, sends Alexander, a two-time Pro Bowler and one of the NFL’s top defensive backs, to Baltimore in exchange for multiple draft picks.

The 27-year-old Alexander, known for his elite coverage skills and playmaking ability, will bolster a Ravens secondary that has struggled with injuries in recent seasons. Baltimore, which finished last season with a strong playoff run, is hoping Alexander’s presence will solidify their pass defense and help push the team toward Super Bowl contention.

The Packers, meanwhile, receive a 2025 first-round pick and a 2026 third-round pick in return. Green Bay’s front office cited a focus on long-term roster building and salary cap flexibility as factors in the trade.

“We are grateful for everything Jaire has done for this organization,” said Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst. “He’s been a tremendous leader on and off the field, and we wish him all the best in Baltimore.”

Alexander, originally drafted by the Packers in 2018, quickly became a fan favorite in Green Bay with his lockdown coverage and fiery personality. Last season, he recorded 14 pass breakups and three interceptions.

The Ravens celebrated the acquisition, with General Manager Eric DeCosta stating, “Jaire is one of the best in the game, and we believe he’ll be a game-changer for our defense.”

Fans from both teams have taken to social media to express shock and excitement over the blockbuster deal. As the 2025 NFL season approaches, all eyes will be on Jaire Alexander as he dons purple and black for his new team.
