Parramatta Eels forward Jack Williams has been officially ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 NRL season due to a significant injury, dealing a major blow to the club’s forward pack.

The Eels confirmed that Williams sustained a ruptured ACL during training earlier this week. Scans revealed the severity of the injury, and he is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days, followed by an extensive rehabilitation period lasting up to nine months.

Williams, who joined the Eels in the offseason, had been a solid contributor off the bench in the opening rounds of the season, bringing toughness and energy to the middle rotation.

“It’s really unfortunate for Jack and the team,” head coach Brad Arthur said. “He’s worked incredibly hard to get to this point, and we’ll support him through his recovery every step of the way.”

The injury adds to a growing list of challenges for the Eels, who are already managing several other injuries across their roster. The club is expected to explore internal options and potentially look to the market to bolster their forward depth.

More updates will follow as Williams begins his recovery process.
