The Gaithers, whose collaborative songwriting and performances have inspired millions around the globe, cited “growing personal differences and the pressures of a lifelong public partnership” as the primary reasons for the separation.
“After much prayer, reflection, and counsel, we have come to the difficult but peaceful decision to part ways as husband and wife,” the couple wrote. “We remain united in faith, in our commitment to our family, and in our ongoing ministry work.”
