The Houston Astros are optimistic that star right fielder Kyle Tucker could make his much-anticipated return this Friday. Tucker, sidelined since June 3rd due to a right shin fracture, has shown significant progress. On Thursday, he participated in live batting practice and running drills in Cincinnati, boosting hopes for his return in the upcoming series against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Houston.
Astros manager Joe Espada is cautiously optimistic, stating, “He ran well, and we’re very hopeful for Friday. His recovery looks good.” If Tucker returns as planned, the team will carefully monitor his workload, with plans to have him rotate as the designated hitter every few days to manage his injury.
Tucker’s absence has been felt by the team, but his potential comeback could provide a major boost to the Astros’ lineup as they push towards the postseason. Fans and teammates alike are eagerly awaiting his return to the field.
