In a significant roster shakeup, the Miami Dolphins have announced a trade for linebacker Jordyn Brooks from the Seattle Seahawks. This move comes in response to the recent injury of Dolphins’ linebacker Anguish, who has been sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Brooks, known for his powerful and aggressive playing style, joins the Dolphins in exchange for a 2025 second-round draft pick and a conditional 2026 fourth-round pick. The trade is aimed at bolstering Miami’s defensive line and filling the void left by Anguish’s injury.

Anguish, who has been a key player for the Dolphins, suffered a serious knee injury during last week’s game, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. The Dolphins’ medical staff has confirmed that Anguish will require surgery and extensive rehabilitation, prompting the team to seek immediate reinforcement.

Dolphins General Manager Chris Grier commented on the trade, “Jordyn Brooks is a dynamic and powerful linebacker who will make an immediate impact on our defense. While we are saddened by Anguish’s injury, we believe Brooks’ addition will strengthen our lineup and help us stay competitive.”

Brooks, a standout for the Seahawks with 117 tackles and 5 sacks last season, is expected to integrate quickly into Miami’s defensive schemes. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the Dolphins, saying, “I’m excited for this new chapter and eager to contribute to a team with such high potential.”

The Dolphins, currently looking to maintain their momentum in a competitive AFC East, will rely on Brooks to bring added strength and leadership to their defense as they navigate the remainder of the season.
