Done Deal: Seahawks defensive end signs one-year deal Jacksonville worth…

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Rasheem Green to a one-year contract.

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny’s teammate from the same draft class has found a new team.

Rasheem Green, a former Seattle Seahawks defensive end, signed a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Green, a third-round draft pick in 2018, has not been with Seattle since the 2021 season. He spent 2022 with the Houston Texans and 2023 with the Chicago Bears. Despite his dismal performance with the Bears last season, the Jaguars want Green to revert to his 2021-2022 form, when he served as a crucial rotational player, delivering a modest 10 sacks and 90 total tackles over two seasons.

In 2021, Green created NFL history with the Seattle Seahawks by blocking, recovering, and scoring a defensive two-point convert against the Washington Football Team. Unfortunately, Green’s efforts were in fruitless, as the Seahawks lost 17-15.

The Jaguars also signed Tanner Muse, a former Seahawks linebacker who was with the team from 2021 to 2022.
