The Toronto Wolfpack have announced the immediate termination of their assistant coach’s contract, effective today. The decision comes as a result of mutual agreement, though the specifics behind the departure have not been disclosed.

The assistant coach, who joined the Wolfpack at the beginning of the 2024 season, played a key role in supporting the team’s tactical and game strategies. The abrupt end to the coaching relationship has left fans and players alike surprised.

In an official statement, the Toronto Wolfpack acknowledged the coach’s contributions. “We want to thank our former assistant coach for their efforts and dedication during their time with the club,” the statement read. “While we are parting ways, we wish them success in their future endeavors.”

The coach also provided a brief comment on their departure. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with the Toronto Wolfpack and for the support I received from the team,” the coach said. “Due to personal reasons, I have decided to step away from my role. I appreciate the understanding from everyone involved.”

Head coach Brian McDermott, who worked closely with the assistant coach, expressed his thoughts on the situation. “It’s unfortunate to see our assistant coach leave, but we understand and respect their decision,” McDermott said. “Our focus now is to continue building on our strategies and preparing for the remainder of the season.”

The Toronto Wolfpack will now look to fill the vacant position as they aim to maintain their competitive performance in the league. The club’s management is expected to announce further details regarding the search for a new assistant coach in the coming weeks.
