Premier League legend reveals what Arsenal have missed for years – but finally have now

In the Premier League on Saturday, Arsenal overcame a late deficit to defeat Southampton 3-1 and keep their winning streak alive as they look to win their first championship in 20 years.

According to Dion Dublin, Arsenal has added a “horrible side” to their repertoire, which could be the difference in the Premier League title fight.

The Gunners maintained their perfect start to the season on Saturday by coming back from behind to defeat Southampton 3-1. After seven games, Mikel Arteta’s team is tied for third place in the Premier League standings.

At the Emirates Stadium, Bukayo Saka stole the show. He not only assisted Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli but also scored a late goal to seal the three points. After Cameron Archer gave Saints an unexpected lead on the counterattack, his ingenuity was required.

After his team defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday, Arteta was thrilled with the mindset of his team. While observing the game, former Premier League striker Dublin noticed a shift in the Gunners.

In an interview with BBC’s Final Score, he stated: “I haven’t seen Arsenal play like this in a long time. They have something new.” They’re all willing to contribute and pleased to do this terrible side, showing grit and determination. They are aching from the past few years and have the heart this time.

The last two seasons have seen Arsenal come up just short of expectations, placing second behind City, who had won six of the previous seven Premier League titles. The Gunners drew 2-2 with City a few weeks ago, despite playing the second half with 10 men and Saka is convinced this will be their year.

Saka said, “I don’t want to put too much pressure on us but I do think this is the year,” in response to Thierry Henry, the legendary Arsenal player, asking on CBS Sports following PSG’s victory if this may be their year. We’ve been close for the past two years, I believe, and we are growing closer. However, hoping this year will be the one.”
