Steelers Re-Sign Outside Linebacker Ade Ogundeji
Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Thursday that they have re-signed outside linebacker Ade Ogundeji, reinforcing their defense with a promising talent. Originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2021, Ogundeji joined the Steelers practice squad earlier this year and has now earned a spot on the active roster. Known for his athleticism and strength on the edge, Ogundeji brings added depth and flexibility to the Steelers’ linebacker corps.
The 6-foot-4, 268-pound linebacker from Notre Dame demonstrated impressive potential with the Falcons, where he registered 2.0 sacks and 11 tackles as a rookie. With the Steelers’ defense consistently ranked among the top in the NFL, Ogundeji will have the opportunity to develop alongside veterans like T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith. His signing highlights Pittsburgh’s ongoing commitment to building a formidable defensive lineup, as they prepare to face key opponents in the second half of the season.
