The Boston Bruins have made a major move to secure their future by signing 21-year-old Canadian phenom Ryan Keller to a three-year entry-level contract. Keller, a highly-touted forward, has been making waves in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with his electrifying speed, scoring ability, and playmaking skills.
Keller led the OHL in points last season, recording an impressive 48 goals and 72 assists in 67 games for the Kingston Frontenacs. His standout performances earned him the league’s Most Valuable Player honors and positioned him as one of the brightest young stars in hockey.
Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney expressed his excitement about the signing. “Ryan is a dynamic player who has the talent, work ethic, and passion to excel at the NHL level. We’re thrilled to bring him into the organization and look forward to his development with the Bruins,” said Sweeney in a statement.
Keller, who grew up idolizing Bruins legend Patrice Bergeron, said he’s eager to begin his NHL journey. “It’s an incredible honor to join the Bruins, a team with such a rich history and a winning culture. I can’t wait to get started and help contribute to the team’s success,” Keller said.
The Bruins are banking on Keller to become a cornerstone of their lineup as they look to transition into a new era of competitiveness. With his signing, Boston continues its focus on cultivating young talent while maintaining its status as a perennial contender in the NHL.
Fans can expect Keller to attend the Bruins’ upcoming training camp, where he will vie for a spot on the roster for the 2024
-25 season.
