The road to Canton just got a little clearer for Miami Dolphins legend Richmond Webb. The former offensive tackle, a cornerstone of the Dolphins’ offensive line throughout the 1990s, has been named one of the semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025.
This recognition marks another significant milestone for Webb, who has long been considered one of the NFL’s most dominant left tackles during his playing era. Drafted by Miami as the ninth overall pick in 1990, Webb made an immediate impact, earning Pro Bowl honors in each of his first seven seasons. Paired with Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino, Webb’s consistent protection on the blind side helped solidify Miami’s offense as one of the league’s most formidable units.
A two-time first-team All-Pro and a member of the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 1990s, Webb’s resume stands as one of the most impressive among eligible players still awaiting Hall of Fame enshrinement. Known for his elite footwork, strength, and football IQ, Webb anchored the Dolphins’ offensive line for 11 seasons before finishing his career with brief stints in Cincinnati.
Webb has often been vocal about his gratitude for his time in Miami, crediting his success to the Dolphins organization, his teammates, and legendary coach Don Shula.
