Mark Knopfler, the legendary guitarist and former frontman of Dire Straits, has officially announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated 2025 world tour due to ongoing health concerns.
In a heartfelt message to fans, the 75-year-old musician expressed his deep regret over the decision:
“I’m incredibly saddened to share that I must cancel all of my 2025 tour dates. Unfortunately, health issues have made it impossible for me to meet the physical demands of touring. The 2025 tour was set to take Knopfler across Europe, North America, and Australia, with fans eager to see the iconic guitarist perform classics like “Sultans of Swing,” “Brothers in Arms,” and “Romeo and Juliet.” It would have been his first major tour since 2019, and tickets had sold out for several venues within hours of their release.
