Depeche Mode and Anton Corbijn Release ‘Strange/Strange Too’ on DVD & Blu-Ray Due to High Fan Demand

Depeche Mode, in collaboration with longtime visual director Anton Corbijn, has officially released the restored editions of Strange and Strange Too on DVD and Blu-Ray. The decision comes after years of growing fan demand for a high-quality reissue of these iconic films, which originally debuted in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Strange (1988) and Strange Too (1990) are collections of music videos directed by Corbijn, featuring some of Depeche Mode’s most celebrated songs, including Strangelove, Behind the Wheel, Personal Jesus, and Policy of Truth. The original VHS and LaserDisc editions have long been out of print, making them highly sought-after collector’s items.

In response to ongoing requests from fans and to celebrate Depeche Mode’s visual legacy, the band and Corbijn oversaw a meticulous restoration process. The new release features remastered visuals and audio enhancements, providing a fresh experience for both longtime followers and new generations of fans.

The reissue also serves as a tribute to Depeche Mode’s late founding member, Andy Fletcher, who passed away in 2022. The band acknowledged Fletcher’s appreciation for their visual storytelling and stated that this project aligns with their mission to preserve their artistic history.

The Strange/Strange Too DVD and Blu-Ray set is now available for purchase through the band’s official website and major online retailers.
