Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 season after suffering a serious injury… during a training session earlier this week. The club confirmed that the veteran striker sustained a significant knee injury, which will require surgery and a lengthy recovery period.

Vardy, who has been a key figure for Leicester over the years, was reportedly injured during a routine drill, and scans revealed that he had torn his ACL, forcing the club to make the difficult decision to end his season early. The 37-year-old has been an essential part of Leicester’s attack and leadership, and his absence will be a major setback for the team as they push for a strong finish in the league.

Manager Enzo Maresca expressed his disappointment, saying, “Jamie is a true professional, and we are devastated for him. His experience and leadership will be missed both on and off the pitch. We will now focus on supporting Jamie through his recovery.”

With Vardy sidelined, Leicester will need to adjust their attacking strategy and rely on other players to step up in his absence. The club has not yet provided a timeline for his return, but it is expected that Vardy will miss the remainder of the season and possibly part of next year’s pre-season as well.
