Lenny Kravitz, originally slated to perform at the upcoming show on September 11 at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, will no longer be taking the stage. This news comes as a surprise to fans eagerly awaiting his performance alongside other big names like Halsey, Benson Boone, and Blackpink’s Lisa. Kravitz has been actively promoting his latest studio album, Blue Electric Light, and this event was expected to be a highlight in his tour.
Kravitz’s return to the VMAs would have marked his first appearance since his iconic performances in 1998 with Madonna and in 1993 with his hit *Are You Gonna Go My Way*. Unfortunately, a recent doctor’s appointment revealed health concerns that necessitate a pause in his schedule. As a result, Kravitz has been advised to rest, leading to his withdrawal from the September 11 event.
While fans are disappointed by Kravitz’s absence, the event will still feature performances by Halsey, Benson Boone, and Lisa, all of whom are set to make significant impacts on the stage. Halsey is expected to debut a new track from her upcoming album, while both Boone and Lisa will make their performance debuts at the VMAs, adding to the excitement of the night.
