An alert concerning ticket scams and fraudulent activities is being issued by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to fans prior to the Detroit Lions’ inaugural home playoff game at Ford Field against the Los Angeles Rams. When buying tickets, fans are advised to do extensive research and to steer clear of offers that seem too good to be true.

NEW DELHI: The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is warning fans to be on the lookout for fraudulent activities and ticket scams as anticipation for the Detroit Lions’ first home playoff game at Ford Field grows. Fans hoping to get tickets for the exciting playoff matchup between the Lions and the Los Angeles Rams may be vulnerable to con artists.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) stresses the value of doing extensive research before buying tickets and cautions fans, particularly when looking for offers that appear too good to be true.

Melanie Duquesnel, the CEO and President of the Eastern Michigan Chapter of the Better Business Bureau, emphasizes that before making a purchase, customers should verify the credibility of numerous websites.
“Places to avoid looking for that great deal are unvetted sites like Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace,” cautions Duquesnel. To guarantee a secure and authentic transaction, she advises choosing trustworthy and verified services like StubHub and Ticketmaster.
Duquesnel agrees that the excitement of going to a postseason game, particularly when the team is winning, can lead to a greater vulnerability among fans to con artists. She stresses how crucial it is to get tickets directly from the team’s official website rather than through unsolicited texts or advertisements on social media that could lead to frauds.
