Inclement weather on the East Coast Tuesday night prevented the Minnesota Timberwolves from making their scheduled flight from Orlando to Boston, meaning they’ll be flying to Boston on Wednesday and then playing the Celtics Wednesday night.

The game is set to start at 6:10 p.m. CT, and Celtics play-by-play announcer Sean Grande says Minnesota is expected to land in Boston about seven hours before tipoff, so that would put them on the ground in Boston around 11 a.m. CT.

It’s an unfortunate turn of events considering Minnesota is playing at TD Garden, where the Celtics are a perfect 17-0 this season. Not only that, but it’s a date with the NBA’s best team in a city that Minnesota hasn’t departed with a victory since March 6, 2005.

What’s more is that Boston is probably out for revenge after losing in overtime to the Timberwolves in Minnesota back on Nov. 6.

Add it all up and the Wolves are playing the second half of a back to back against the best team in the league on their home court where they are undefeated and probably playing with a chip on their shoulder to avenge an earlier loss.
