Crystal Palace are now set to open talks with star midfielder Cheick Doucoure over a potential new deal.
For all of the problems and uncertainty right now, the shining positive beyond all is just how talented the squad at Selhurst Park currently is.
With 76-year-old Roy Hodgson on his way out in 2024 – sooner or later – the managerial situation is under a great deal of scrutiny and uncertainty.
