One of the most important games of Wild Card weekend will pit the Dallas Cowboys against the Green Bay Packers. After missing out on the NFC Championship game since the mid-1990s, the Cowboys are hoping to make a statement in the postseason.

The Packers want to show the country that they still have Super Bowl dreams and that Jordan Love is their third consecutive franchise quarterback. It was revealed today that the Cowboys have a quarterback ailment.

Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk claims that:

Before Sunday’s wild-card playoff game against the Packers, the Cowboys are as healthy as they can be.

There is just one player with a designation.

Cooper Rush, the team’s backup quarterback, was listed as questionable due to sickness in their practice report on Friday. He didn’t get any practice.

Rush has participated in 69 mop-up plays so far this season.

Cornerback For the second straight day, Stephon Gilmore (shoulder) only participated in limited practice. It is anticipated that he would play with a harness on to safeguard his dislocated shoulder.

Tyler Smith, a left guard, will make a comeback after sitting out Week 18. On Friday, he practiced in full.

Safety Malik Hooker (ankle), defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins (ankle), and defensive end Dorance Armstrong (ankle) are also cleared to play.

It seems obvious that the injury to the backup quarterback won’t affect the outcome of the game (if Dak Prescott gets hurt). If Prescott is had to miss any time during the game, it will make for an intriguing spectacle.

Rush’s condition is still unknown, but it is now uncertain if he will be able to play in the wild-card round. If Rush is sidelined on Sunday, Trey Lance will probably be Dak Prescott’s backup quarterback.
