A.J. Brown, a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, increased the tension leading up to Wild Card weekend. Multiple sources state that Brown removed any mention of the Eagles on social media this week in advance of the team’s Monday night game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A few hours after Brown deleted the Eagles from social media, 94WIP reported the star wide receiver missed Friday’s practice. Brown missed practice Thursday due to his knee injury against the New York Giants in Week 18

After missing the first two days of practice, Brown is trending toward missing the Buccaneers’ game. The Eagles did not believe Brown’s injury was serious following the Giants game.

It is reasonable to question what goes on behind closed doors in the Eagles locker room in light of Friday’s happenings. Before the Giants game, Brown allegedly called a players-only meeting to show support for the coaching staff.

Brown will probably miss the first two practice days due to his ailment. The Eagles’ public declaration that Brown’s injury is not serious, along with his remarks against the team on social media this week, don’t bode well for a team that has experienced a precipitous decline since December.
