On Thursday afternoon, Austin Mack, a former quarterback for Washington and native of Folsom, California, earned the first pledge under Kalen DeBoer. The 226-pound, 6-foot-6 athlete used Twitter to declare his pledge.

Mack has four years left on his eligibility and has already moved to Tuscaloosa. The native of California did not play for the Huskies during his rookie year after reclassifying from the 2024 to the 2023 class.

In the 2023 class, he was ranked as the eighth-best quarterback. Mack started his senior year of high school as a first-year player, throwing for 3,498 yards, 40 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
