The Seattle Seahawks have narrowed the list of candidates for their vacant head coach position.

The Seahawks reportedly have identified the first five candidates for second interviews following initial virtual interviews according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The report added there will probably be more candidates.

One candidate is Dallas Cowboys’ defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. Quinn, 53, was the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator under Carroll during the 2013 and 2014 seasons, when the Seahawks appeared in back-to-back Super Bowls. He was the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2020, where he guided the Falcons to Super Bowl 51.

The other four are Las Vegas Raiders’ defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Carolina Panthers’ defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, Los Angeles Rams’ defensive coordinator Raheem Morris and New York Giants’ offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.

The Seahawks have reportedly conducted initial interviews with Miami Dolphins’ offensive coordinator Frank Smith, Detroit Lions’ offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Houston Texans’ offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.

The Seahawks are looking for a new head coach after team owner Jody Allen announced former head coach Pete Carroll would not return as coach in 2024 and would transition to an “advisory” role within the organization.
