This offseason, the Chicago Bears will have a lot of choices to make in free agency. Though they still lack a few key players to take the next step, their roster is getting better. The Minnesota Vikings will be making some roster adjustments in the meantime, and there might be some individuals there who are worth a closer look.

Which Minnesota Vikings free agents might get the attention of the Chicago Bears?

After his rookie contract expired, KJ Osborn, a former fifth-round selection of the Minnesota Vikings, made his maiden foray into free agency. Despite not playing as a rookie, the wide receiver finished 2021 with 655 yards and seven touchdowns. He hasn’t exactly lived up to that year, though, since then.

He increased to 670 yards in 2022, but he also scored six touchdowns and saw a decline in route run average from 1.3 yards to 1.08 yards.

He struggled even harder in 2023. In addition to falling to 0.97 yards per route ran, he finished with 540 yards and three touchdowns. The most concerning thing was that he went from two drops in the two seasons before to seven drops in the previous season.

Osborn will be a free agent in a bad place, but a fresh start and some offensive fire might lift him up. Osborn is capable of playing both wide and slot, but the Bears now require both. At the very least, Osborn may push Tyler Scott at this moment, and the team need to show some interest.
