During the NBA Trade Deadline, the Oklahoma City Thunder made some moves. They acquired Gordon Hayward from the Charlotte Hornets in return for Tre Mann, Vasilije Micic, and Davis Bertans. In the deal, the Thunder also received two second-round selections. The Hayward move appears to help the Thunder push for the playoffs on paper. But Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a star player for the Thunder, particularly liked having Tre Mann as a teammate. This past weekend, Gilgeous-Alexander responded to Rylan Styles of Sports Illustrated’s Fan Nation regarding the Thunder trade deadline and Mann’s passing.                                                                                                                                      Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also said, following the Thunder game, that he would be watching Tre Mann’s first game—a start, no less—with the Hornets. Mann finished with nine points, nine assists, four rebounds, and two steals in his Hornets debut. In 27 minutes, he made 4-11 shots from the field. Mann, who saw limited action for the Thunder, will now have more opportunities, particularly if he keeps starting.
