Pittsburgh Aaron Wilson of KPRc2 reports that Eddie Faulkner, the running backs coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is staying on and has extended his contract.

One of the final offensive coordinator choices the Steelers had to make this offseason was Faulkner. After taking over as the temporary offensive coordinator during the previous season, the return of the running backs coach was not assured. It was unclear if the team would retain Faulkner because they brought in an outside candidate.

He has assisted Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris in their development while he has been a member of the Steelers. First two since former offensive coordinator Matt Canada took over, he and co-offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan guided the team to two 400-yard games after taking over as interim offensive coordinators.

Faulkner has been a part of three 1,000-yard seasons for Harris as a running backs coach and two 1,000-yard running back seasons in Harris and Warren in 2023. Warren had 370 receiving yards in addition to 784 yards of rushes. Together, he and Harris scored 12 touchdowns.
