Both Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho have contracts expiring in the summer, and an intriguing note in our inbox indicates that one of them might be handed a one-year extension, while the other is most likely going to go for free.

With Patson Daka in his current form, who has a contract that expires in the summer of 2026, and Tom Cannon as a backup, these two will undoubtedly be included in the plans for the upcoming season together with Jamie Vardy.

It would be challenging to manage the playing time for up to four forwards if the rule was to just play one of the forwards and not utilize any of them as a flank option up front.

Even though Kelechi Iheanacho is a free agent in the summer, he will undoubtedly play in games moving forward. It will be fascinating to see how much of a role he plays in given the excellent play of Daka, Vardy, and Cannon.

It will be challenging to miss any of the last three games given how well the squad is currently performing, but we’ll have to wait and watch how Enzo Maresca uses the newly minted AFCON silver medallist until the end of the campaign.

It will be interesting to watch how Enzo builds everything, but the team for next season could be exciting as he hopes to improve on most of the players the team has this year.
