Samari Matthews, a cornerback at William Amos Hough High School, has planned an unofficial visit with Tennessee. April 3 is when he will be in town. With respect to 2026 prospects, the gifted defender is ranked No. 32 by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. Programs like Alabama, Florida State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Tennessee are among the 28 offers he now has. In his first two years of high school, he has recorded 46 tackles, two interceptions, and two tackles for loss. Since the beginning of his second season, Matthews has been to Georgia, North Carolina, North Carolina State, and South Carolina. It will be his first time seeing Knoxville, Tennessee, and the Vols. Coach Willie Martinez and the Tennessee defensive backs staff have done a good job of bringing in top talent.
