Poll by Broncos React: Should Denver attempt to trade Jerry Jeudy prior to the start of the season?

The Denver Broncos didn’t like any of the compensation offers and undoubtedly tried to transfer several players before the trade deadline in the previous season. Although it appears that Courtland Sutton is staying put for now, the team may still be able to relocate Jerry Jeudy.

I believe there’s still a chance because of what head coach Sean Payton stated last week on Marvin Mims Jr.

We watched [Marvin] Mims [Jr.] thrive as a returner, and I wouldn’t hesitate to draw a comparison,” Payton remarked. “I honestly believe that us attempting to establish roles was the only thing that truly hindered his development as a receiver. He is assuming Jerry [Jeudy’s] post. As I’ve mentioned several times, I believe this player will continue to develop greatly. We’re thrilled to get him since he’s tough and fast. The answer, in my opinion, is that we as coaches—that is, how we approach game planning—are changing. He has never let us down when we’ve kind of placed his name on a play.

Payton stated that he plays the same position as Jeudy, indicating that he is very high on Mims. Moving Jeudy would be the most logical decision among the team’s wide receivers considering his track record, contract, and standing in the league.

Additionally, I believe that Denver’s ceiling is probably whatever value it could have obtained before to the trade deadline. It is unlikely that teams will act quickly to acquire Jeudy before the 2024 NFL Draft. To get them to trade for a Day 3 pick and a past first-round pick, a team must forfeit a wide receiver they were interested in.

Do you believe the Broncos should try to trade Jerry Jeudy given that likely scenario? Please cast your vote below, and on Friday I will disclose the survey’s results.
