The Tennessee Titans are in the midst of a comprehensive overhaul to regain their competitive edge in the AFC South. Recognizing the pressing need to fortify various aspects of their team, they are particularly focused on elevating their offensive line to elite status within the NFL.

Taking proactive steps, they have secured the services of a skilled lineman who previously played for the Washington Commanders during the last season.
Reports indicate that the Titans have successfully secured Washington LG Saahdiq Charles, as revealed by Mike Moraitis of Titans Wire. Charles, a 24-year-old lineman, brings four years of experience with the Commanders, following his collegiate career with the LSU Tigers.
While Charles had limited playing time during his rookie season, he progressively earned more snaps as his career advanced. Last season, he contributed significantly, playing 11 games and amassing 643 snaps at left guard. However, he allowed four sacks and 37 pressures during this time. Although primarily utilized as a guard, Charles offers versatility, having experience at various positions across the offensive line, except for center.
His arrival underscores the Titans’ commitment to addressing their dire need for improved protection of their quarterback. In the 2023 season, the Titans’ offensive line struggled, allowing an alarming 64 sacks on their quarterback. This performance ranked among the worst in the league, with only a few teams faring worse.
With this acquisition, the Titans aim to bolster their offensive line’s performance, hoping that Charles will provide the much-needed stability and quality of protection to prevent a recurrence of last year’s challenges.
