Late Sunday night, West Virginia received a pledge from guard Joseph Yesufu, who is transferring from Washington State.
Yesufu commenced his college career at Drake, where he played under Darian DeVries for two seasons. During his sophomore year, he averaged 12.8 points per game before transitioning to the high-major level with Kansas. At Kansas, he appeared in 69 games over two seasons in a reserve role. However, his stint at Washington State was brief due to a hip injury, limiting him to just six games this past year.
Throughout his career, Yesufu has maintained averages of 5.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, with shooting percentages of 40% from the field and 31% from three-point range. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
