Texas’ transfer portal prowess rolls on, as the Longhorns have flipped Louisville defensive line transfer Jermayne Lole from his Oklahoma commitment. A product of Long Beach, Calif., the 6-foot-3, 310-pound Cole had committed to the Sooners on April 24.

A two-year player for the Cardinals, Lole’s career began at Arizona State in the class of 2020 before his move to the ACC. He’s totaled 141 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks throughout his collegiate career. His 2022 season was cut short due to injury. Prior to the 2021 season, Lole was ranked No. 24 among PFF College’s 50 list.

Lole joins fellow Texas defensive line transfers Bill Norton and Tia Savea, both from Arizona, as a veteran group tasked with replacing the two highest-rated interior defensive linemen in the nation last year, per PFF, in T’Vondre Sweat and Byron Murphy II.

Lole becomes the tenth transfer for Texas in the class of 2024, joining Norton, Savea, Mukuba, Niblack, Bond, Golden, Bolden, Moore, and Cole. With this addition, the Longhorns have assembled a transfer class that ranks in the top 10 according to the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Transfer Ratings.
