More than 250 Just Cuts stylists working in 32 salons throughout New Zealand have observed that the number of irregular spots on clients’ scalps is increasing annually. The rate of melanoma in New Zealand is among the highest worldwide. Melanoma claims the lives of nearly 300 New Zealanders each year, with most cases occurring in those 50 years of age and above.
