**Austin, TX – June 13, 2024** – The University of Texas at Austin announced today that Jeff Banks, the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator for the Texas Longhorns, has terminated his contract with immediate effect. The decision was made due to personal reasons, according to a statement released by the university.

Banks, who joined the Longhorns in 2021, has been a pivotal figure in the team’s coaching staff, bringing extensive experience and a unique strategic perspective to the special teams unit. His departure marks a significant change for the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
