SAD NEWS : Philadelphia’s head coach decide to re-sign due…

PHILADELPHIA: Since early December, the Philly—or, to put it more broadly, NFL—question has been brought up, examined, and probed from a myriad of perspectives.

What on earth is the Philadelphia Eagles’ problem?

How did a team that had Pro Bowl and All-Pro talent like Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Darius Slay, Jason Kelce, and Lane Johnson go from having a 10-1 start to finishing 1-5 and limping into a wild-card matchup at Tampa Bay just months after making it to the Super Bowl?

Put your hopes of a Super Bowl parade to rest.

The Eagles of this year have already been grouped among the greatest choke artists in Philadelphia sports history, along with the 1964 Phillies and the 1997 Flyers.

This setback will have repercussions, perhaps even including coach Nick Sirianni’s job loss.

Former players are chirping, fans are furious (some have set up camp outside the club facilities with protest placards), and injuries to key starters have destroyed any cohesiveness in the starting lineup.

With a score of 182-123, the Eagles have lost their last six games.

By Monday night, Sirianni needs to have his squad back on track. Given that he hasn’t offered a viable solution for the previous month, that’s no small accomplishment.

“I think anyone can lead when times are easy,” he stated. “In difficult times, you discover your true nature and leadership style. I see it as a challenge because I am confident that we can overcome our current state of stagnation. My responsibility is to ensure that we do, and I see it as a problem that will be sweetly resolved when we succeed—I have no doubt about it.

I’m confident we have the appropriate individuals to handle this.”

There is a lot of blame to be distributed, and each person has to accept some of the guilt, including Sirianni, Hurts, the coordinators, and the front office.

The coordinators are Philadelphia’s public enemy Nos. 1 and 1A. Brian Johnson moved up from his position as quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator in Indianapolis after Shane Steichen was appointed head coach. Arizona signed Sean Desai as defensive coordinator to take over for Jonathan Gannon, who was promoted as head coach.
