Good News: New Zealand Warriors to Receive Major Injury Boost for Round 5 Clash Against…

The New Zealand Warriors have officially announced that fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is poised to make his return in Round 5 after being sidelined for the first four games of the season.

Although not included in the current week’s team lineup, Nicoll-Klokstad is slated to make his comeback against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on April 6.

His reintroduction to the squad is expected to prompt a positional shuffle, potentially seeing Roger Tuivasa-Sheck move to the centres.

However, despite suggestions from various critics and former players advocating for Tuivasa-Sheck to retain his role as the primary fullback while Nicoll-Klokstad assumes a position in the centres, the former Dally M Medal winner with the Warriors appears committed to playing in the centre position upon his NRL return.

This aligns with recent statements from members of the coaching staff indicating that Tuivasa-Sheck is open to reverting to the fullback position only under circumstances necessitated by injuries or suspensions within the team.

Meanwhile, fellow fullback Taine Tuaupiki, who has been recovering from concussion, is also expected to be eligible for selection in Round 5, albeit with a likelihood of featuring in the NSW Cup initially.

The club has additionally confirmed that Leka Halasima, recovering from a knee injury, is on track to make his return in Round 7, while Demitric Sifakula is anticipated to come back into contention during the middle of the season, although a specific timeline for his return has yet to be disclosed.
