The Tottenham Hotspur first-teamer has a verbal agreement in place to leave in January.

Hugo Lloris, the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper, has been linked with a move away from the club for months.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper was anticipated to leave the north London club during the summer transfer window, but he instead stayed. The French international has battled for playing time and is now the club’s third-choice goalkeeper, trailing Guglielmo Vicario and Fraser Forster.

He has to leave the club to play regularly, and it appears that MLS team LAFC is willing to offer him a way out in January.

Fabrizio Romano, the player’s agent, has announced that he has signed a deal with the MLS team and will leave permanently next month.

The goalie has a’verbal agreement in place’ with his new team and will sign a one-year contract. Documents will be exchanged shortly.

Lloris has been an outstanding servant for Tottenham since his arrival, but the time has come for the two sides to part ways. Last season, the Frenchman regressed dramatically and cost Spurs important points.

Vicario was signed as his replacement, and the Italian has performed admirably for the Londoners thus far.

A move to MLS at this point in his career would be great for Lloris and might help him extend his career.

Tottenham will be able to take his large earnings off their books and put them towards a new signing in January.
